Dr. Kunhao Yang, who joined the Engineering Department, Graduate School of Sciences and Technology for Innovation (Division of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering) as an assistant professor (Tenure-Track) on April 1, 2023, was selected as a recipient of the 4th HIRAKU-Global Program on June 17. His laboratory is located on the 5th floor of the Informatic and Intelligence Research Building in Tokiwa campus. .
Dr. Yang has been conducting research on the mechanisms of collective behavior using machine learning techniques. Modern society is becoming increasingly complex, and cooperative activities in groups, rather than individual efforts, are becoming the key to social development. Dr. Yang's research aims to uncover the factors that enable efficient cooperative activities and teamwork. Specifically, he focuses on two research questions: 1) Addressing the factors that influence the efficiency of cooperative activities; and 2) Identifying the factors that cause conflicts within groups.
